WordQuest English Privacy Policy

WordQuest English is an offline-first English learning app. This policy explains what the app stores and how it handles information.

1. Data collection and sharing

WordQuest English does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal or sensitive user data.

The app has no user accounts, analytics, advertising, crash-reporting service, cloud sync, or remote content service.

2. Local learning data

The app stores learning progress and settings only on the device. This includes XP, streaks, lesson history, answered questions, review scheduling, badges, appearance, daily goal, sound, haptics, review priority, onboarding status, and Text-to-Speech speed.

This local data is used only to provide lessons, review, progress, and preferences. It remains until it is reset, the app's storage is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.

3. Permissions and connectivity

WordQuest English does not request internet, microphone, camera, contacts, location, or shared-storage permissions.

The app does not make network requests. All lesson content is packaged with the app.

4. Clipboard and email actions

Only after you tap a copy action, WordQuest English places app and device support details or a question report on the Android clipboard. A question report includes the question ID, prompt, selected answer, correct answer, and explanation.

Only after you tap Email support or Email question report, WordQuest English passes the support address and a reviewable draft to an email app on your device. A support draft includes app and device details; a question report also includes the question ID, prompt, selected answer, correct answer, and explanation. WordQuest English does not send the message; you can review, edit, or cancel it before choosing whether to send.

WordQuest English does not automatically transmit report or clipboard content. Android, your email app, or other apps may handle content according to their own behavior and privacy policies.

5. Text-to-Speech

WordQuest English sends app-authored lesson and example text to the Android Text-to-Speech engine selected on the device so it can produce spoken audio.

The app does not record speech, request microphone access, or send learner answers to a server. A Text-to-Speech engine is system or separately installed software, and its own provider and device settings govern how that engine operates.

6. Backups

Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer backup are disabled for WordQuest English app data.

7. Data deletion

Reset progress in Profile permanently deletes XP, streaks, lesson history, answered questions, badges, and review history. App settings and onboarding status remain so preferences are not unexpectedly lost.

To delete all local WordQuest English data, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the app. There is no server-side data or account to delete.

8. Children

WordQuest English is a general-audience learning app and is not specifically designed for children. It does not knowingly collect data from children or any other users.

9. Security

Local app data is protected by Android's application sandbox. WordQuest English does not operate a server or transmit learner data for storage.

10. Policy changes

This policy will be updated before adding analytics, advertising, accounts, cloud sync, remote content, speech recognition, or another feature that changes how information is handled. The effective date will change when the policy changes.
